Swine Day is an event that educates swine producers about the issues they are facing concerning their industry. It’s a day where they get together and discuss what is happening next. As prices on food continues to climb drastically, people in the meat industry such as farmers have every right to be concerned. David McDonald is there to help bring about a perspective that will give the swine producers an edge when it comes to the pork industry.
Pork is one of the growing sources of meat that is eaten annually by lots of people. It’s not eaten as much as chicken but people do consume it at a high rate. On June 28, swine producers got to hear from well known speakers about issues that could effect them, especially with out current administration. Others will talk about how they are able to transform their farms to produce more pork and increase their profit. This will be most helpful to those farmers who would like to make some changes. David McDonald is talking about the future of the global food industry. He sits on the board of directors for North American Meat. His perspectives will be greatly appreciative at this meeting. Jeff Ansell will bring some humor to the event and discuss a topic that deals with when you are in the spotlight. His goal is to help people become better communicators. Thee were 16 presentations and guests can pick what topics interest them most. This was a good conference. Everyone probably walked away with more knowledge then they ever did before. There’s nothing wrong with when it helps turn you a profit. Having an optimistic view of the meat industry is good.
